As part of Art in The Dark 2011 presents:
Stratagem Bilateral Carousel Installation

 
Inspired by the traditional form of a carousel, a large raised cylindrical screen sits around a tree projecting colourful rotating light.

However, unlike a traditional carousel where the rider sits at the perimeter, the installation moves around the viewer, enveloping the audience in a rotating field of saturated colours.
The success rests in the combination of three key components: carousel, scale and optical art.
